This scene introduces the damsel in distress .The mid shot allow us to see her facial expressions which show a vulnerability and confusion.

Her costume indicates she is out of place, she is in a long dress looks like a night gown and bare feet.

Lighting is dark to create a frightening atmosphere. The light behind her character creates a shadow of her, this effect establishes her fear as she runs towards the camera.

The camera shot is an extreme long shot this allows us to see the vastness of the setting and how isolated she is.
