Analysis of images displayed on Google search – Climate change

Its disappointing to note that very little information on how we can act on climate change is available on Google images

From a simple analysis I broadly classify this images on four categories

1.scary/ fantasy2.Impact of climate change3.What is climate change4.How to act

Unfortunately the first two category takes up the biggest share of all images posted

The images instill fear to general public

Some interpret it as scam and tend to think climate change is a scientific fraud and is not happening

General public may feel helpless and imagine this effects will occur any way

Images providing info -What is climate change

Call for intervention from corporate institutions to reach out to general public through simpler artifacts

images that provide information on how to curb climate change -

only one identified

Trend for climate change topic

Analysis of Google trend seems to be in agreement with above picture, after the year 2009 this topic is no longer trending

Analysis from YouTube also show similar trends, only few number of people seem to be watching climate change videos

Positive news, I found one clip on YouTube showing need to act by Morgan Freeman's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YQIaOldDU8
