Mumford and sons are a British rock band that formed in 2007. The band consists of four members- Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane. Mumford & Sons have released three studio albums: Sigh No More, Babel and Wilder Mind

The band are shown on the advert in four separate photos, that have been edited to look aged and retro. This adds to the bands genre of rock and helps to create the overall look of the advert, also the colours of the photos stand out against the black background helping to create distinction. This advert also follows the rule of three. With the title placed at the top, the band in the middle and additional writing at the bottom of the page. Splitting the page into three means that the individual items can be seen clearly and the important information such as names and dates are made clearer.

The band name is written at the top of the page with an italic white typeface, this style is consistent throughout the advert keeping to the style. The letters stand out against the black background creating more distinction to them. Underneath the band’s name is the album name that the advert is trying to sell, it is important that this is placed at the top as it is what the advert is promoting.

The album’s name is written in italics in a traditional white type face. This grabs the reader’s attention as it is one of the largest fonts on the advert. Underneath the photos of the band is a quote from a music journalist commending the band, this helps the reader buy into the advert and with a direct quote from a well-known institution it helps highlight the bands success. A list of the top songs are also listed at the bottom of the page so that if readers are familiar with any of these stand out singles they will be interested in buying the album.
