December Activities

13th MEU Christmas Party

The Christmas Party was held on December 18 in the South Mesa Club at Camp Pendleton. A

HUGE “Thank You” to Disneyland and the VoluntEARS for their generosity. Not only did they give

the Committee a grant which helped fund the party, they donated Christmas trees as well as Disney-

land tickets and other goodies which were used as raffle prizes. A BIG “Thank You” as well to all

those who donated toys, gift cards and raffle prizes. We couldn’t have done it without all of you and

we realize how truly blessed we were this year with such an amazing outpouring of love and support

for our adopted families of the 13th MEU. A delicious traditional Christmas meal was served includ-

ing turkey, ham and all the trimmings. Several committee members as well as representatives from

Disneyland attended the event and everyone had a great time. Last, but certainly not least, our heart-

felt thanks go out to our wonderful Santa and Mrs. Claus who truly were the hit of the party!!!
