HOYJon Arístegui, un reputado biólogo en la treintena que vive en París, recibe una llamada que le informa de un terrible suceso: su padre ha muerto. Se ve obligado a volver al pueblo en el que nació y que abandonó seis años atrás, para enfrentarse a los fantasmas de su pasado y a un misterio que nunca llegó a resolverse: la desaparición de su novia, Anne.
Jon Arístegui, a renown biologist in his thirties living in Paris, receives a call informing him of a terrible event: his father has died. Jon has no choice but to return to his hometown, which he abandoned six years earlier, to come face-to-face with the ghosts from his past and a mystery that was never solved: the disappearance of his girlfriend, Anne.
Jon will have to confront the hostility exhibited by his neighbors and even by his own family, who all blame him for what happened.

Upon his return, Jon finds two families completely devastated by tragedy and separated by a gap that is difficult to bridge: the Otxoas--the family of his dead girlfriend Ann--, and Jon’s own family, the Arísteguis.
But now, for the first time in a long time, and out of respect for the memory of his father, Jon is de-termined not to run away. Although he realizes that everyone hates him, Jon is determined to find out what really happened to Anne on the night she di-sappeared.
Day-to-day life in Mundaka will not be easy for Jon. His investigations into Anne’s disappearance and his work in the family business are further compli-cated when he finds new evidence that call his own innocence into question, unearthing a violent nature that he himself is incapable of controlling...
Set in an idyllic little fishing village in the Basque Country, “Presumed Guilty” is the new thriller produced by Boomerang TV for Antena 3’s prime time (“Plastic Sea”, “The Time in Between”). The new series revolves around an unsolved crime in which everything is called into question and the main plot consists of trying to determine whether or not the protagonist is innocent.

6AÑOSATRÁSTodos los indicios apuntaban a Jon, pero no se encontraron pruebas suficientes para inculparle por lo que no tuvo más remedio que marcharse lejos de su hogar para olvidar el pasado.
A su regreso, Jon se encontrará con dos familias sa-cudidas por la tragedia y separadas por una brecha difícil de cerrar: los Otxoa -familiares de la desa-parecida Anne-, y los Arístegui -su propia familia-.
Pero ahora, por primera vez en mucho tiempo, y por respeto a la memoria de su padre, Jon decide no huir. A pesar de saberse odiado por todos, Jon va a descubrir qué pasó realmente con Anne la noche en que desapareció.
Ambientada en un pequeño e idílico pueblo pesquero del País Vasco, “Pre-sunto culpable” es el nuevo thriller producido por Boomerang TV para el prime time de Antena 3 (‘Mar de plástico’, ‘El tiempo entre costuras’) y que gira en torno a un crimen sin resolver, donde todo es cuestionado y en el que la inocencia o no del protagonista constituirá la trama principal.
El día a día en Mundaka no será fácil para Jon, cuya investigación de la desapa-rición de Anne y el desempeño de su trabajo en la empresa familiar se compli-cará cuando descubra nuevas pistas que pongan su inocencia en entredicho y saque a relucir un carácter violento que ni él mismo es capaz de controlar…

El País Vasco, con extraordinarios escenarios naturales, se convierte en un personaje más de la ficción. Localizaciones como Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, La Reserva de Urdaibai, Mundaka, Bermeo o la Ría de Gernika son algunos de los maravillosos enclaves que acogen este thriller.
Además, “Presunto culpable” ha viajado hasta París para grabar algunas escenas de la serie.
Anne es el hilo conductor de la trama y el espectador irá descubriendo, a través de flashbacks, que su relación con los Arístegui y con su propia familia no era tan idílica como podría parecer.

The Basque Country, with its extraordinary natural settings, is treated like just an-other protagonist in this drama. Shooting locations such as Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, the Urdaibai Reserve, Mundaka, Bermeo and the Gernika Estuary are just some of the wonderful enclaves featured in this thriller.
Moreover, “Presumed Guilty” also travelled to Paris to shoot some street scenes.
Anne is the guiding thread in the storyline, and, through a series of flashbacks, view-ers will gradually discover that her relationship with the Arísteguis and with her own family was far from ideal.

CHARACTERS
Miguel Ángel Muñoz is Jon ArísteguiJon was forced to abandon his home because everyone thought him guilty of his girlfriend’s disappearance. Their relationship had always been marked by the animosity between their two families, but, together, they founded a very promising laboratory complex. After his father’s death, Jon returns, determined to discover what really happened to Anne.
Susi Sánchez is Begoña Arístegui. Jon’s MotherThe Arístegui family matriarch. An elegant woman who has always managed to rise to the challenge posed by her status as the wife of a successful busi-nessman. She has a strong character and has always led her four children on the straight and narrow. She was one of the people who opposed to her son’s relationship with Anne, and although she meant no harm, she thought her disappearance was the best thing for everyone.
Carlos Serrano is Iñaki Arístegui. Jon’s Older BrotherThe Arístegui’s firstborn son. Ambicious and unscrupulous, Iñaki is always looking out his own interests. He works as a manager at the shipyard and does everything he can to avert the constant threat of a crisis. But Iñaki hides a secret, and his brother’s arrival poses a problem for him.
Itziar Atienza is Ainhoa Arístegui. Jon’s SisterJon’s sister and the village mayor. Ainhoa has made her own way in life and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her position, which is in danger now that Jon is back.
Eduardo Rosa is Javier Arístegui. Jon’s Younger BrotherThe youngest of the Arístegui family. Javier has never wanted to be part of the family business and works as a surf instructor instead. He is the only one who kept in touch with Jon, and he’s the one who told him that their father had died. But there may well be something else behind Javier’s love for his brother, something Javier is right to hide.
Tomás del Estal is Aitor Arístegui. Jon’s UncleJon’s uncle is a patient man who always interceded in dis-cussions among the Arísteguis. Aitor has a huge limp whose origin is just another of the secrets that have come between the Arísteguis and the Otxoas. Aitor does not reject Jon when he returns, even though he knows that his nephew had more than enough motives to want to make Anne disappear.

CHARACTERSAlejandra Onieva is Anne OtxoaJon’s girlfriend and partner at the laboratories. Anne disappeared without a trace six years ago just as her relationship with Jon was going through a rough patch. Although she was dearly loved by family and friends, Anne had a difficult character, which made her a mystery for everyone.
Elvira Mínguez is Amaia Otxoa. Anne’s MotherThe Otxoa matriarch. A proud mother courage with a strong character who unflinchingly bares her claws to defend her loved ones. Amaia works for the Arísteguis, whom she hates and blames for Anne’s disappearance.
Josean Bengoetxea is Julen Otxoa. Anne’s FatherThe Otxoa patriarch. A professional fisherman, Julen has dedicated his life to the sea. With his afable and understanding nature, serving as a counter-point to his wife, he does his best to overcome the tragic events by acting as a peacekeeper. But his drinking problem reflects the fact that the past has left its mark on him...

Kiko Rossi is Eneko Otxoa. Anne’s Younger BrotherEneko is a shy and withdrawn young man who works with his father. He has always had a passive attitude towards life, but his resentment emerges when he talks about his sister Anne.
Carol Rovira is Maite Otxoa. Anne’s SisterWas very close to her sister. Warm, friendly and obliging, Maite has always been a good friend of Jon’s, and, although she seems a bit distant when he returns, she is the only Otxoa who is convinced that he is innocent.
Teresa Hurtado is Susana. The Police OfficerEven though she isn’t Basque, Susana has been working as a local police officer in Mundaka for years. She is rather reserved and has a hard time talking about her personal life. Susana has been friends with Jon since she arrived in Mundaka, and she is one of the few people who welcome him with open arms. But she did not expect Jon’s return to cause her so many problems.

Alejandra Onieva es Anne OtxoaPareja de Jon y socia de los laboratorios. Desapareció hace seis años sin dejar rastro cuando su relación con Jon no pasa-ba por su mejor momento. A pesar de ser una persona querida por sus familiares y amigos, Anne tenía un carácter difícil que la convertía en un misterio para todos.
Elvira Mínguez es Amaia Otxoa. La madre de AnneMatriarca de los Otxoa. Mujer orgullosa y de fuerte carácter, Amaia una madre coraje que no dudará en sacar las garras para defender a los suyos. Trabaja para los Arístegui, a quienes odia y culpa por la desaparición de Anne.
Josean Bengoetxea es Julen Otxoa. El padre de AnnePatriarca de los Otxoa. Pescador de profesión, ha dedicado su vida al mar. De carácter afable y comprensivo, sirve de contra-punto a su mujer e intenta superar los trágicos acontecimien-tos con una actitud conciliadora. Pero sus problemas con la bebida reflejan que el pasado hace mella en él…

Su carácter férreo ha llevado a sus cuatro hijos por el camino rec-to. Fue una de las personas que más se opuso a la relación de su hijo con Anne, y aunque no le deseaba nada malo, su desaparición, era lo mejor para todos.
Carlos Serrano es Iñaki Arístegui. El hermano mayor de JonPrimogénito de los Arístegui. Ambicioso y sin escrúpulos, siem-pre vela por su propio interés. Trabaja en la dirección de los astilleros e intenta por todos los medios esquivar la crisis que siempre les acecha. Pero Iñaki esconde un secreto, y la llegada de su hermano, supone un problema.
Kiko Rossi es Eneko Otxoa. El hermano pequeño de AnneEneko es un chico tímido y retraído que trabaja con su padre. Siempre ha mostrado una actitud pasiva ante la vida, pero un extraño rencor sale a flote cuando habla de su hermana Anne.
Carol Rovira es Maite Otxoa. La hermana de AnneMantenía una relación muy cercana con su hermana. Cariñosa, amable y atenta, Maite siempre ha sido gran amiga de Jon y, aunque a su vuelta se muestre distante, será la única de los Otxoa que confíe en su inocencia.
Teresa Hurtado es Susana. La ErtzainaA pesar de no ser vasca, lleva años trabajando como ertzaina en Mundaka. Amiga de Jon desde su llegada, es una mujer reservada a la que le cuesta hablar de su vida personal. Una de las pocas personas que le reciben con los brazos abiertos, pero lo que no espera es que la vuelta de Jon vaya a traerle tantos problemas.
Itziar Atienza es Ainhoa Arístegui. La hermana de JonHermana de Jon y alcaldesa del pueblo. Se ha abierto camino sola y está dispuesta a lo que haga falta por mantenerse en el puesto que, ahora que Jon ha regresado, podría estar en peligro.
Eduardo Rosa es Javier Arístegui. El hermano pequeño de JonEl pequeño de la familia Arístegui. Nunca ha querido entrar en los negocios familiares y trabaja como profesor de surf. Fue el único que mantuvo el contacto con Jon y quien le avisó de la muerte de su padre. Pero su amor por su hermano podría tener otro origen que Javier hace bien en ocultar.
Tomás del Estal es Aitor Arístegui. El tío de JonEl tío de Jon es un hombre paciente que siempre media en las discusiones de la familia Arístegui. Padece una marcada cojera cuyo origen es un secreto más de los que separan a los Arístegui y a los Otxoa. Aitor no rechaza a Jon cuando regresa, aunque sabe que su sobrino tenía motivos más que suficientes para hacer desaparecer a Anne.
