Say (O Mohammad): I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of humankind,

Dis (Ô Mohammad): je prends refuge auprès du Seigneur des gens,

Zeg (O Mohammed): ik zoek mijn toevlucht bij de Heer (de haar steeds met zorg omringende Behoeder) van de mensheid,

Say (O Mohammad): I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of humankind,

Dis (Ô Mohammad): je prends refuge auprès du Seigneur des gens,

Zeg (O Mohammed): ik zoek mijn toevlucht bij de Heer (de haar steeds met zorg omringende Behoeder) van de mensheid,

From the mischief of the Whisperer, who withdraws (after having left his evil, tempting whisper behind),

Tegen het kwaad van de influisteraar die zich (na zijn verleidelijke influistering) heimelijk terugtrekt en verstopt,

(The same) who whispers (evil inspirations and considerations) into people’s hearts,

Celui qui souffle (le mal, les mauvaises inspirations et considérations) dans les poitrines des gens,
