Fill the Ark Campaign-

to benefit Heifer International…

Throughout the Lenten season, Emanuel Sunday

School students will expressing God’s grace in their life by giving to

others. Heifer International’s Fill the Ark program offers

individuals and families an opportunity to learn about- and offer a

helping hand to- families around the world. It is a daily missions-

giving program that spans four weeks. It offers real life solutions

to world hunger and shows that one person…one family…one

congregation can make a difference in today’s world. At the end of

Lent we are hoping to have enough money to buy a goat or two for a

community on the other side of the world. If you would like to

learn more or participate with the students please see Megan.

WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) News: Our next meeting will be March 6, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church at 11:45 AM. Bring a sack lunch. In our Bible Study for March we will see how “Making Conversion Last” can help us create communities that nurture spiritual growth.

At this meeting we will also discuss the results of the Aebleskiver Dinner that was held on February 17th. The profits from this event will help support our youth attending the National Gathering in Detroit in July.

If you are interested in joining us, please ask Lou in the parish office for a copy of the article we will be discussing. You do not need to have participated in previous sessions to benefit from this study. REMEMBER: All women of the ELCA are members of WELCA and are encouraged to attend.
