Confidentiality Encourages• People to use services needed to help them• People seeking help• Family participation in seeking help

• Medicine• Law• Religion• Psychology• Journalism• Education• Social Work• Etc.

The Limits of Confidentiality It is our duty to report when:• A person will suffer from

results of harmful behavior• A person intends to harm

him/herself or someone else• A person is being harmed by someone else• A person threatens someone
