Trust (Regd.)’ a large selfless organiza�on and registered Trust, comprising of thousands of selfless individuals from all sec�ons of the society which was founded in 1995 with an objec�ve of allevia�ng physical, mental and spiritual sufferings of the humanity and to infuse consciousness, fraternity and love for humanity through all possible means.

Medium of Teaching The medium of teaching is English. Every child is encouraged to communicate in English so as to develop fluency and command over this language apart from the mother tongue- Hindi. Sanskrit is also taught from classes VI to VIII.

1 In order to develop leadership quali�es, confidence and crea�vity and to make each child an extrovert and to encourage healthy interac�on among themselves, the school is divided into four houses namely Santosh (Contentment), Dhairya (Endurance), Sachchai (Truthfulness) and Dharam (Righteousness).

2 Each house has a deep rooted meaning connected with the value system based on principles of Equanimity and Even-sightedness.

3 Every child is automa�cally assigned one of these houses and expected to learn, imbibe and demonstrate the values of his/ her own house and other houses as well.

4 Based on their a�tude, discipline, performance in academics, co-curricular ac�vi�es and sports, students are selected for the 'Students Council' to manage these houses and extra curricular ac�vi�es under the supervision of their school teachers. Cultural Activities and Events

2 Every child is encouraged to actively participate in various cultural events and functions that are organized through out the year. The events like Independence Day, Teachers Day, Founder's Day, Children's Day, Annual Sports Meet, Republic Day Ceremony, etc. are related to themes based on festivals from all religions, patriotism etc. and are organized by students themselves under the supervision of teachers.

3 The school has in-house audio-visual arrangements.

Morning Assembly

The morning assembly is conducted house-wise by different students of different classes in the presence of the Principal & all the teachers. Every child is encouraged on rotation basis to actively participate in the morning assembly which helps in the improvement of self confidence among them.

Music & Dance

Separate facility for professional learning in dance & music from expert teachers is available for the students of S.D.V. in the campus itself.

Physical Development and Sports Facilities

1. A special sports complex spread in 10 acres of land has been built in Vasundhara complex which houses a roller skating rink of international standard, lawn tennis, badminton, basket ball, volley ball and hand ball courts, modern 400m racing athletic track, hockey, football and cricket grounds. Besides gymnasium facility, special swings, wooden blocks, table-tennis, carom-board, scrabble etc.are also available.

2. This sports complex is the most modern and one of the best of its kind in Haryana State. It is hosting several State and National level games.

3. The aim of providing these facilities is not only to familiarize students with most of the games and sports but also to keep them physically fit, healthy, agile and alert. To ensure that every student enjoys and appreciates games and sports, they are expected to become an expert in at least one or two games of their choice.

Swimming Pool

A state-of-the-art swimming pool and squash-courts are there in the campus it self. Separate timings are there for boys and girls . Coaching in swimming is provided to all the students by expert coaches.

Shooting Range

In order to improve the concentration power, discipline & self control, S.D.V. has set-up shooting range in the campus.

Excursions and Tours

Regular tours are arranged for students to visit museums, art galleries, exhibitions and monuments of historical, cultural, scientific and economic interest.

To break the monotony of academic education and to create team bonding, camping expeditions, excursions to theme parks, picnic spots etc are organized outside Faridabad at least once a year.

Overseas and NRI Students

To help overseas / NRI children to adjust to the new environment quickly, a special guidance and counseling cell headed by experienced and qualified senior staff members has been established by the school.

This cell takes care of social, academic, linguistic, food and other special requirements of these overseas and NRI students.

Hostel Facility - " Home Away From Home "

The school caters for separate hostels for boys and girls having well furnished rooms with latest equipment and amenities. Geysers and water coolers are also provided in each hostel.

Special care is taken to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

All hostels are equipped with common rooms with entertainment facilities like TV, music system, indoor games etc.

The hostels are secured and safe with round the clock security.

Utmost care is taken to make the students feel at home by creating a warm and friendly environment. The students get a gift from the school on their birthday. To create a homely atmosphere, wearing of school uniform on that day is not insisted upon in junior classes.

Each hostel / dormitory is attached with a spacious study area and independent reading room which is properly supervised at all times.

Evening and night prep classes are held for the boarding students under the guidance and supervision of the teachers.

Air-Conditioned boarding facility is available during night only.

Mess and Dining Facility- Pure Vegetarian and Hygienic Food

The school is equipped with a modern and spacious mess-cum-dining hall with a capacity to cater over 1000 students at a time.

A five course nutritious and vegetarian food cooked under most hygienic conditions with modern equipment and well trained staff is available to the students of S.D.V.

The menu is so planned as to provide a balanced diet and to suit the taste of the children.

Lunch is compulsory for all the students, boarders and day boarders.

Food is served on specially designed tables and chairs to the children by well mannered and trained staff.

The students are trained in table manners and etiquettes and expected to use them in daily life everywhere.

Discipline at S.D.V.

The students are expected to maintain the highest level of discipline and conduct themselves according to the rules and regulations in the school as well as in the hostel complex at all times.

Co-operation and Courtesy with School Staff:

Students have the responsibility to:

1 Provide truthful information when asked by the school authorities.

2 Be courteous and polite with every staff member of the school, wish every staff member properly.

3 Respect for the Person and Property of Others Students should treat every person including seniors and juniors and their property with respect.

4 Respect for School Property It is prohibited to write on school/class room walls, blackboards, cupboards or furniture. Students who damage school property will be punished appropriately.

5 Littering in the school or class room, chewing of gums or sweets in class or assembly is prohibited.

6 Students must ensure that progress reports, attendance information, report cards or any other school correspondence delivered home to their parents or guardians when asked for by the teacher or school authorities.

7 Obey safety instructions at all times. Use of abusive or vulgar language is prohibited and would attract corrective actions. Possession and use of mobile phones in the campus are strictly forbidden. Any kind of harassment, bullying, or discrimination in the school complex or in a school-related function, event or activity on account of race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, or disability is prohibited.

Hostel Rules

The students stay under the supervision of the wardens at all times in the hostel.

The parents are advised to deposit the pocket money along with the fees so that its proper use could be monitored by the authorities.

Any kind of shouting or making noise or playing of instrumental music or practicing of vocal music at loud volume which may disturb others, or use of abusive languages towards other students or institution authorities and employees is strictly prohibited in the hostel and Vasundhara Campus.

Students are not allowed to leave the hostel without the prior permission of the Warden.

House Master and Wardens ensure that all the students of their hostel write letters to parents every week which are posted on every Monday. Parents/guardians are requested to refrain from sending/ bringing eatables for their wards.


Under no circumstances, unauthorized guests are allowed in the hostel without prior permission of the Warden. No member of the opposite sex is allowed to enter each others rooms under any circumstances.

The use of any type of electrical appliance like electric iron, heater, immersion-rod, camera and use of CD player, deck or music system etc. by the students is strictly prohibited in the hostels. Driving of any vehicle by the students in the campus is also prohibited.

Smoking, drinking or possession of any other toxic substance of any kind or consumption of alcohol and non-vegetarian food in the Vasundhara Complex is prohibited. Any student found guilty of serious breach of discipline will be summarily expelled from the school without any liability on the part of the institution. In case during the academic session, the school authorities are involved in any litigation either by the student or by his/her guardian, in that eventuality, to safe guard the interest of other students and to maintain a healthy atmosphere in the school, the school authorities reserve the right to expel the concerned student without any prior notice. The entire fee paid during the academic year shall be forfeited, irrespective of the date of such expulsion. However, the caution money amount in the account of such student after adjustments, if any, will be refunded.

A day boarder can become a boarder anytime of the year but a boarder cannot change his status till the end of the academic year.

In Partnership with Parents : Orientation Program and Guidelines for Parents

1 S.D.V. works in close partnership and collaboration with every parent in the interest of overall development of each and every child

2 An orientation program for the parents is conducted by S.D.V. on the first day of the new session.

3 The attendance for this orientation is compulsory. This session is aimed at familiarizing the parents with our teaching philosophy, policies and procedures as well as S.D.V’s expectations from them in their co-management with S.D.V. for all round development of their child.

4 This session helps in clarification of the overall curriculum of the school and resolution of queries of the parents.

5 Parents are expected to cooperate in every possible way.

6 Parents are expected to read, understand and ensure compliance of all school and hostel rules by themselves and their children in letter and spirit.

7 Every parent is expected to closely track and monitor the performance of their child in all aspects and philosophy of education at S.D.V. and actively discuss with the respective class teacher either during PTM's or otherwise

Guidelines for Parents/Guardian

Parent/Guardian must study the progress of his/her ward and watch his/her progress carefully.

If his/her ward's progress is unsatisfactory, the parents/guardian must meet the academic in-charge or the Principal.

If his/her ward's progress is unsatisfactory in activities, the parent/guardian must meet the Activity Incharge(s) or the Principal. Parent/Guardian must discourage his/her ward from becoming extravagant.

Parent/Guardian must ensure that his/her ward report back in time after the school reopens.

Parent/Guardian must not give his/her ward any personal medicine without the knowledge of the school resident medical officer.

Parent/Guardian must ensure that their ward is punctual and comes neatly dressed to school.

School Rules

1 Students are required to read, understand and abide by the school rules. Parents and guardians are also bound by the school and hostel rules which are published by S.D.V. and made available to students and parents every year.

2 Parents/Guardians are not allowed to meet teachers or their children/wards during class hours. However, they can meet teachers after class hours.

3 Day boarders, when sick must not be sent to the school.

In all matters, the decision of the Principal of S.D.V. is final and binding on the Parents / Guardians.

4 The parents will indemnify school against cases arising through any illness, accidents and any other causes.

5 Parents must send leave application if the child is absent. In case of absence for more than I week without leave application, the name of the student will be struck off from the rolls and parents would have to seek re-admission after paying requisite charges.

6 All students are expected to abide by the school dress code and come to school in proper school uniform which is clean and ironed properly with shoes polished and proper tie etc. Boys must not keep their hair beyond the collar or maintain any kind of fancy hair style. Hair colouring is prohibited.

7 Students are strictly prohibited from wearing any gold ornaments and from keeping any cash.

8 Wearing an identity card is mandatory.

9 Negative points shall be given for coming late in the Assembly.

Parent/Guardian must bring the visitor's identity card whenever he/she visits the school. Only identified card holders will be allowed to meet their ward.

Parents/Guardians are requested to visit the school on the specified days, dates and time only as mentioned in the Almanac otherwise they will not be entertained.

In all matters pertaining to academics, activities, general department and welfare of the student, the decision of the Principal will be final and binding on the parent/guardian.

An 8 bedded medical investigation room and nursing care centre with all necessary equipments is available at Vasundhara with round the clock ambulance, first aid and nursing facility.

An MBBS doctor to take care of the medical needs of the school children in the campus is available 24 hours.

Medical record of every student, from time of admission is maintained including immunization cards for primary classes.


Regular health check-ups are carried out by the resident doctor and also by the specialist doctors. If needed parents are also consulted for the improvement in health of the child.

S.D.V. has a tie up with nearby hospitals and doctors for special treatment if and when as required.

S.D.V. also organizes naturopathy camps for children at regular intervals.

School Publication “Vasundhara”

S.D.V. releases an annual magazine, "Vasundhara” and Newsletter, “Vasundhra News” which provides its students an opportunity to express their views and exhibit their talents.

Awards & Scholarships

S.D.V. offers a variety of academic and non-academic prizes to the achievers in different fields. A number of scholarships are also awarded to students on the basis, of merit cum means.

Admissions Procedure, Eligibility and Fee

Registration for admission to all classes is announced in the first week of October.

Admission is granted on the basis of child's performance in the test and / or an interview conducted.

Admission Fee once paid will not be refunded except security deposit.

Registration does not guarantee admission.

Medical Care at Vasundhara


Fee Schedule

Fee schedule is published for all classes and is available at school office.

The school fee is charged from the beginning of the session irrespective of the date of admission.

School fee and dues are to be paid quarterly in advance. The dues must be deposited latest by 10th of the due month. Late payments would attract late fee of ̀ 50/- per week.

Admission Fee as per details given in the fee structure enclosed, is required to be deposited within the stipulated time failing which the school may cancel admission to the student with no further information.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

If a child qualifies for admission, the following documents must be submitted before admission is normally granted:

• Attested copy of Municipal Corporation Birth Certificate (original Birth Certificate should be presented for verification) for students seeking admission to lower classes.

• Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate of previous school for students seeking admission to class I and above (countersigned by the competent authority).

• Report Card / Promotion certification of the previous school and class.

• Medical fitness certificate and Medical questionnaire (form provided by school).

• Photographs of student, Mother, Father and local guardians (passport size).

Withdrawal of Students

In case of withdrawal, the parents need to submit an application for the transfer certificate one month in advance. A transfer certificate will only be issued on clearance of all dues.

Termination Grounds

Gross misconduct/ indiscipline.

Non payment of Fees.

Detention for more than one year in the same class.

Shortage of attendance.

Any other reason deemed fit for such action by the Principal.


S.D.V. has its own transport system. School buses are available for the day boarders on specified routes. However it is the sole responsibility of the parents to escort their wards to and from the fixed bus stops. In case of indiscipline the child can be debarred from availing this facility. The parents are advised to check with S.D.V administrative office for further information with regards to routes, charges etc. Any change in address should be intimated in writing to the school authorities.
