Dear Colleagues and Dealer Friends,
It gives me an immense pleasure for being provided the opportunity to
stwrite the foreword for the 1 Edion of Doosan India Product Support
Magazine which will be mailed to you every quarter from now on. This
is a great iniave from our Product Support Team who has taken it as
a means to connect with all the field force.
Over the period of last year the sale of machines in the CE Industry was
not encouraging and this year also the trend is going to connue. The
Exchange Rate has also played a spoil sport. We, at Doosan, are very
clear in our vision and are bracing these tough mes by preparing
ourselves for future. Aer Market support has been idenfied as the
key to customer sasfacon and we at Doosan are commied to
deliver the best in the industry.
We, together, must ensure that the market understands the above
philosophy, so that the future customers make their buying decisions
of the product purely based on the comfort they enjoy in Aer Market
support offered by our team. We need to create a bench mark in
Customer Support, by which the others should be measured. As we all
know, India is a vast country and with varied cultures, languages and
thought processes to name a few. The applicaons to which the
machines are put to use are also different. For example we have Bobcat
machines which offer various aachments to suit different
applicaons. In some areas the machines with these aachments are
ulized to great effect by the customers. Since there is no common
plaorm to share the informaon, other dealers/field personnel, who
intend to promote the same aachment for similar applicaon are not
sure about the efficacy of it, thus losing an opportunity to sell.
The magazine could well be ulized as a common plaorm to share the
applicaon profile of the machines with aachments, well augmented
by the customer tesmonials which would ensure that the
aachments & products are well promoted by the other people across
the country. The magazine could also become a proper share point to
propagate the good pracces followed by the dealers so that
eventually, we, as a team would get benefied.
MESSAGE FROM DIID HEAD
Our effort in launching this Magazine would
fulfill the gap between the Head Office & the
field by creang a common forum through
which everyone can share their experience &
experse...
I am sure our effort in launching this Magazine would fulfill the gap
between the Head Office & the field by creang a common forum through
which everyone can share their experience & experse. I sincerely request
each one of you to contribute to the content of this magazine so that it will
not only showcase our success, but also will be helpful for others by way of
new applicaons, methods to resolve issues, idenficaon of problems to
name a few.
Finally, any magazine will flourish by the content it publishes and in this
regard I request all of you to support the editorial team by ensuring
constant supply of arcles which benefits the other team members who
are part of proud Doosan.
I sincerely wish the team a great success with this effort which I am sure will
also be cherished by you all in the field.
Best Regards,
A V Ramana

DOOSAN GENUINE FILTERS ARE DIFFERENT
When a filter does not work properly, the system efficiency and machine
producvity will be affected even without noce, causing abnormal wear and
early hour failure of the machine along with drasc increase in maintenance
cost.
Doosan Genuine Filters are designed and developed specifically for Doosan
machines. They are built to meet Doosan’s strict criteria and will assure high
quality and reliable filtraon performance.
Non-genuine filters do not meet Doosan’s Quality standard as their performance
and quality is far below Doosan filters. Using Non-Genuine filters can cause
abnormal engine and hydraulic system abrasion, breakages, parts failures and
shorter lifespan, thus increasing maintenance cost enormously.
GENUINE DOOSAN FILTERS PROVIDE YOU WITH
Outstanding filtraon efficiency and low maintenance cost Excellent DHC (Dust Holding Capacity) and stable filtraon performance Opmized design for Doosan machines and proven Quality from harsh
tesng condions Longer life span with extensive filtering area Maximize machine upme and increase producvity

In 1978, Doosan was the first company to manufacture an excavator in the whole of South Korea. Doosan has developed 91
different models between 1 ton to 70 ton operang weight ll date in the Solar and DX series. Current producon of Doosan
excavators are around 4000 units per month.

DOOSAN RIPPER RP22 - 6 NOS
Providing customer value at an
altitude of 4200m....
Doosan Infracore India is proud to announce the
commissioning of Doosan Equipment to the Indian Army
that include Doosan Excavators DX225LCB – 06 nos, Rock
Breaker XL1700 – 06 nos and Ripper RP22 – 06 nos. The
task involved transportaon, instal laon and
commissioning at the customer site, Tawang, Arunachal
Pradesh, situated at an altude of 4200 m above msl.
Located at a protected area of Indo-China and Indo –
Bhutan Border, Tawang is the place where 1962 Indo-
China war happened.
A team from Doosan was assigned for this task who had
to inially undergo physical fitness test as they had to
encounter tough terrains with high altude, abnormally
low temperatures, heavy snowfall and rainfall.
Considering the risky route, Doosan team reached
Guwaha (510 km away from Tawang) to dismantle the
excavators into 3 pieces with almost equal weights and
sizes to accommodate a 7 ton truck. Before commencing
this me consuming job, the DIID squad planned to
inspect the enre stretch and examine the actual
discrepancies in moving the machine as a whole
assembly.
The hilly terrain starts right from entering the State
borders of Arunachal Pradesh (100 km drive from
Guwaha). We enquired each and every village localies
with a photo of Excavators asking them whether they
have seen any similar equipment going up ll Tawang.
The plan turned out to be fruiul as the team were able
to conclude that machine could be moved as a whole
assembly upto Tawang in a 10 wheeled trailer. With the
support of one operator the machines were unloaded
wherever trailer had difficules moving in sharp turns,
weak bridges, narrow roads and other obstrucons.
Geng a 10 or 12 wheel trailer from Guwaha was a
tough situaon as the transport agencies did not
encourage taking their trucks through this route. Aer
exploring all possible means, a set of trailers were
arranged. The team, throughout their expedion
experienced problems such as trailer breakdown due to
engine failure, followed by FIP (Fuel injecon pump)
cracks in the subsequent trailer due to heavy snowfall (6
~ -3⁰C), post which a mechanic was arranged to repair its
parts and finally replacing a few trailers.

Also in areas where the stability of trailers weren’t
good, the machines were unloaded and reloaded back
to avoid slippage . At certain sharp curves, the hand
rails had to be removed as it had chances of hing the
rock surfaces. Aer the enre transit of 8 days with
such unforgeable experiences the Excavators with
aachments reached Tawang in perfect condion.
Hands on work, the team successfully installed
Breaker piping kit for four DX225LCB Excavators under
all circumstances, followed by the installaon and
commissioning of our 06 DX225LCB Excavators, 06
Montabert XL1700 Breakers and 06 Doosan RP22
Rippers that were successfully completed.
The training sessions started off with three days of
class room training on Operaon and Maintenance to
15 Army Parcipants. Further more, a 15 days training
session was conducted to the Operators. It was a very
overwhelming moment when Doosan Army at the
naonal borders, accomplished the task of
commissioning Doosan DX225 Excavators that had
high gradeability, efficient tracon and perfect
stability. Looking at Doosan Excavators working
exceponally well under these extreme climac
condions and high gradient slopes made the team
feel a sense of contenon. Doosan’s Army of SIX

The Source of an Excavator's power is the hydraulic pressure created by the hydraulic Cylinders. Higher the cylinder bore size, more
would be the power exerted by an Excavator. Doosan Excavators are powered by Hydraulic Cylinders of highest level bore size in the
market. More Power, More performance, Highest Producvity!!

machine works on an average of 6-7
hours a day and I am extremely happy
with its performance. When the Bobcat E32 Excavator was
introduced in the Indian Market about
4 months ago I had purchased the very
first machine from Doosan. I use it for
many applicaons - Foundaon
digging , Sewage preparaon, Digging
for Installing Water tank and sepc
tank, leveling, etc ..,
I am very happy with the performance
of my E32. It has crossed 500 hrs and it
is consistently performing well. The
Cung power is very good, it can dig
up to 10 feet depth. When the machine
is in running condion the sound is very
less and it consumes only 3.3 litre of
diesel per hour. My operator is also
very happy about the machine because
it is very smooth and comfortable.” Mr.SABU PETER, Kerala.
“ I have purchased my first excavator from
Doosan , Model DX210 in 2010 and I have
been using it for leveling, Truck loading and
crushed stones loading in blue metal quarry.
My machine works 8-10 hours a day and I
am extremely happy with its performance.
I found the model S150LC-7B performing
well in my region purchased it immediately.
I have been using it for crushed stone
loading and it is well performing. The
machine has crossed 2000 hrs and the sound
is very normal , it consumes 9.5 litre fuel per
hour. The operator comfort is excellent.
The main components are more reliable
and the service team inspects my machine at
regular intervals. Maintenance is very easy
and cheaper compared to other machines.
This made me purchase one more
excavator Dx225 LCB further and it is
performing well crossing 1000 hours.

TheSpectacularLaunchOf
MontabertDrilling
AttachmentMICROCPAby
DoosanInfracoreIndia...
The drilling equipment market plays a significant role in
the construcon equipment industry ever since its
incepon. From small hand-held drills to Jumbo piling
equipment, there has always been a substanal role in
drilling throughout the construcon industry. We had
been witnessing dedicated crawler drills with complex
hydraulic lines, huge mounted compressors, re-
designed boom & arm structure and many other
modificaons to excavators for drilling which made it
look so complicated and really huge. Montabert made a
breakthrough in this segment with its launch of CPA
range of drilling aachments, where drilling could be
just a simple aachment Job. You can drill and
subsequently break, crush, level, load & dig at the same
me using different aachments on the same excavator.
A quick coupler would sll fasten the process by
switching aachments in a minute. Montabert, the
renowned manufacturer of hydraulic driers, made
their world's first hydraulic drier HC50 in 1970, post
which they have developed a vast range of driers for
drilling from 1” – 6” hole diameter for applicaons in
mining, surface drilling and tunneling. With its efficient
and acclaimed range of driers, Montabert designed
the new range of Drilling aachment CPA and launched
them in 2008. This has been a breakthrough in the
market as it had eased the job of drilling and the
lightweight aachment ensured high drilling rate with
least maintenance and low capital investment. The CPA
range of drilling aachments comprises of the MICRO
CPA (1”-2”), CPA 225 (3” – 4”) and CPA Xtend (4.5” – 6”).
These are top hammer hydraulic drills enabled with
Montabert driers.
Doosan India introduced the popular CPA drilling
aachments foraying into the drilling market in India,
first off the launch of M I C RO C PA (1” – 2”).
Chimakurthy, a village located in Prakasam district,
Andhra Pradesh, has been a hub for the world famous
Black Galaxy granites. Since there where around 50
acve granite mines confined in that area, we had
planned for a Demo and Launch. The MICRO CPA has
got a compeve edge over other drilling aachment
manufacturers through lesser flow requirement 70 LPM
@ 150 bar, whereas the competors (Excadrill, Traxxon
etc..,) require 150 LPM at 180 bar. This phenomenon
gave our MICRO CPA the advantage of a smaller carrier
suitability starng from 5 tonne machine, in contrast to
the competors which required atleast a 20 tonne
machine for their aachment. Hence we finalized to fit
the MICRO CPA on a Doosan S150LC-7 excavator only
for beer reach and good view from the cabin as the
bench heights were high in the granite mines.

13
The MICRO CPA and S150LC-7 were transported to
the Customer site (Pallava granites) on the previous
day of Demo. Mr. Dominique Callilau (Service Head)
from Montabert, France had come to India for
providing technical assistance and complete training
on the Product. The Adaptaon Kit for MICRO CPA was
fied on the machine which took us an hour. We had to
assemble a few components (Dust collector, hoses
etc.) on the MICRO CPA and then install it on the
machine. At the end of the day, the commissioning was
over.
We had started our first day of Demo at Pallava
thGranites (12 Mar 2013), witnessing a good response
from many customers. We were also simultaneously
inspecng the performance of the machine through
penetraon rate, posioning me, view, reach, non-
deviaon in hole, compressor flow, excavator flow etc.
The second day of Demo was at Krishna Sai Granites
which also received good response. The customers
were sasfied by the performance of the MICRO CPA.
The key highlights stated by them were the Efficient
and compact driers, simple design, high drill rate,
Zero deviaon, smaller carrier compability, lesser
aachment weight & easy operaon through radio
remote control. We achieved an average penetraon
rate of 155.75 feet/hr (47.5 m/hr) at Pallava Granites
and 164.45 feet/hr (50.12 m/hr) at Krishna SAI
GRANITES. We are always grateful to Mr. Prabhakar
Reddy (G.M. Pallava Granites) and Mr.Venkateswar Rao
(M.D. Krishna Sai Granites) for their complete support
by providing manpower for assistance, Compressor
source, tools, drill rods & bits, water, food and all kinds
of help rendered at the remote place with less access
to basic needs. Without their support, this Demo
wouldn’t have been a successful one. A customer
thmeet was organized on 19 March 2013 where we
presented all features, funconalies, performance,
maintenance and aermarket support of the MICRO
CPA. It was an open discussion with all the customers
and we received many feedbacks from them.
Customers were really sasfied with the performance
of MICRO CPA and many had agreed to buy the
MICRO CPA instantly. The Ulmate objecve of the
Demo & Launch was eventually made producve by
the Doosan Aermarket Team.
