Download and Install RaeComM To use the MMU-1600 Program Card Reader Testing Card, Version 3.0.1 of RaeComM software must be installed on the computer (laptop or desktop) to which the MMU-1600 will be connected. RaeComM Version 3.0.1 is available on the Reno A&E website (www.renoae.com/raecomm). Refer to Reno A&E Application Note AN-002, RaeComM Basics for details on how to download and install the software. Run RaeComM Once the RaeComM Version 3.0.1 software has been installed, run the program. Refer to Reno A&E Application Note AN-002, RaeComM Basics for details on how to run the program. Insert the red Program Card Reader Testing Card (Reno A&E p/n 440-3822-00) in the Program Card slot. Connect the monitor to the computer (laptop or desktop) using a straight through cable. A DB-9, RS-232 extension cable works well to provide the link between the computer’s serial port and the monitor’s communication port. If the computer being connected does not have a DB-9 serial port, a USB adapter or some other type of interface cable may be required to connect the monitor to the computer.

Download and Install RaeComM

To use the MMU-1600 Program Card Reader Testing Card, Version 3.0.1 of RaeComM software must be installed on the computer (laptop or desktop) to which the MMU-1600 will be connected. RaeComM Version 3.0.1 is available on the Reno A&E website (www.renoae.com/raecomm). Refer to Reno A&E Application Note AN-002, RaeComM Basics for details on how to download and install the software. Click on the button labeled Identify.

NOTE: If the program has been configured to automatically identify the monitor connected, this step is not necessary The fields labeled Address:, Model:, Serial #:, Mfr Date:, and Firmware: should now contain entries corresponding to the monitor connected.

Select Testing → Program Card.

A window labeled View Program Card will open.

Select Test PC Card Reader.

A window labeled RaeComM will be displayed. If all resistor packs on the program card reader printed circuit board were installed correctly, the window will show All resistor packs are in correctly. If any other message is displayed, call Reno A&E to obtain an RMA number and return the monitor for repair.

Click the button labeled OK.

Close the program. Select File → Exit to Exit or click on Close button (X) in the upper right-hand corner of the window.
