The ProblemThe client needed a functional prototype as soon as possible! The key consideration was to find someone with expertise in both plastics as well as electrical components. They had this to add:

The ChallengesThe biggest challenge for this project was to find the ‘Goldilocks’ zone for the product. It has to be the perfect blend of features, user experience, aesthetic and price. Designing a compact electrical gadget is a complex undertaking, not to be underestimated. There is a constant trade-off between size, cost and features and a ripple effect that needs to be factored in every time you make an adjustment with the material, form or functionality. This requires a strong level of trust and collaboration between the design-product-sales and manufacturing teams
