!!!!!! The UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES ECONOMICS SOCIETY (UP ECOSOC) is a non-stock, non-profit organization, whose existence is hinged on its core beliefs - Service, Exellence and Tradition. Exemplifying its continued commitment to these thrusts, UP ECOSOC engages itself on numerous socio-civic activities such as Monday tutorials for the grade six students of Balara Elementary School, Saturday day care sessions for the younger children of Pook Ricarte, medical missions, caravans and tree plantings. Through its notable fund-raising events such as Musikapella, a highschool chorale competition, UP ECOSOC also provides scholarship for deserving high school students through the UP Economics Society Scholarship Fund (UP ESSF).

ZERO HOUR: The Wait is OverSeptember has always been a much-awaited month in the UP Economics Society because this is the

month where the entire organization comes together to celebrate its anniversary. It was in 2009 when

September definitely leveled up when the Ad hoc committee decided to take the 51st year celebration

to the future.

With Zero Hour being the first ever-free culminating activity organized, nearly 1000 people made their

way to Amber Ultralounge, Fort to count the seconds left before Zero Hour. Despite the rain on the 25th

of September, Amber Ultralounge was filled up in an instant. The night started with fun games from

Bacchus Energy Drink, JackTV, and Infinit. It was then followed by a fashion show by Folded and

Hung.

People danced to hip-hop beats and had their pictures taken at the photobooth located outside. As

midnight neared, the final countdown to Zero Hour was presented. People jumped and screamed as

the numbers were decreasing, finally making it to Zero Hour. It was exactly midnight when the Zero

Hour beer was served. It was the countdown everyone was anticipating for to finish, because finally,

the wait was over.
