History
3
We founded WorkXpress on the premise that in a trillion dollar market it appeared most businesses were unhappy with their software options. • Large organizations – people wait in line for months to get simple
tasks done IT departments are swamped with requests. Result is a complex landscape of non-core applications Complexity caused by above creates self-fulfilling problems and
risks for organizations. This is particularly true as new regulations are passed such as SOX and HIPAA that require increased oversight and control
• Small organizations – software isn’t utilized Everyone has a horror story Very small penetration of automation-software = a great deal of
inefficiency Cannot afford the monetary and resource expense to make
these deployments work
The Problem
4
Today, there is only a very shallow penetration of software automation in business, possibly 20%.
“We envision a world where everything having to do with application software is so fast and easy that all businesses can fully automate their processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.”
- Treff LaPlante
President & CEO

Our Solution:The World’s Only 5GL PaaS
6
The Value of PaaS
Incremental gains in either productivity or empowerment will not be enough to overcome the “cost” of increased dependency on 3rd party platforms.
Therefore, the long term value drivers of PaaS must be: 1. Evolutionary gains in making existing technology staff more productive, or 2. A dramatic increase in the pool of individuals able to accomplish what has
historically been highly technical tasks.

You Own the Customer Relationship• Choose the billing, hosting, and customization services relationship
Customization Services Hosting Services
• Determined by our partners (you) and your customers
• You can host as a SaaS provider, we will host, or your customer can have the servers behind their firewall
Billing Relationship (VAR’s, Agents)• WorkXpress bills the account holder, but we enable you to hold the account.
• VAR’s sign customers under their account, and we bill the VAR at the discounted rate
• Agents sign customers under the customer’s account and we commission the agent upon receipt of payment
Product Distribution (ISV’s)• Our partners are free to produce and own proprietary software applications
built on the WorkXpress engine. They are then free to resell these products either through a channel we provide or via any other mechanism

Case Study

Unhappy Users• Software was cryptic to learn• Cumbersome to use• Redundant data entry
Ineffective Architecture• Many disparate systems• Excessive paper communication channels between systems• Batch processes to pass data periodically• Poor reporting output
Uncertainty• Application infrastructure quality was questionable – concerned that systems
could simply “stop working”• All systems knowledge held in few personnel. Not easily supportable by anyone
other than the creators.• Little ability for business management to provide any oversight into technology
related issues. Existing technology staff held complete control. Inefficiency
• Long training times• Material downtime• Numerous redundant process operations• Significant manual effort required to compile reports from multiple systems
Risk• Significant risk to business operations in the event key personnel or systems
cease to function
Original Pain Points

Quickly integrated many departments on a single platform Application size: Over 1200 unique fields Database size: 10 million records 150 users Three server cluster provides ample power (less than 30%
utilization) Client elected to locate servers behind their firewall
