In the last decade, the number of women-owned �rms nationwide has grown by over 3.5 million, now representing 38 percent of all businesses in the United States.

Women now hold 15 percent of the partner roles at both accelerators and corporate venture �rms, a 25 percent improvement in 18 months.

Between 1997 and 2014, the number of women-owned businesses in the U.S. rose by 68 percent, twice the growth rate for men and nearly one and a-half times the rate for all companies.

Women are starting approximately 1,288 companies each day, up from 602 in 2011-2012.

Revenues among women-owned businesses have increased by 103 percent since 1997, compared to a 114 percent increase among all U.S. �rms.

Over the past two decades, the growth rate in the number of women-owned businesses generating $500,000 - $999,999 was 88 percent, and for those generating $1 million+, it was 104 percent.
