What is Windows Media Player?

Windows media player (WMP) was developed by Microsoft in order to allow users to play audio, video, and view images on Microsoft Windows operating systems. WMP has a user friendly interface that is easily utilized by

those that have a basic knowledge of computers. The 11th version of WMP is the most recent edition of the

player that is compatible with Windows XP as well as Windows Vista.

What is a Playlist?Playlists are useful in controlling the files in your library; they are easy to create and edit. You can group any combination of songs, videos, or pictures into a list that you can play, burn to a CD, or sync to a device.

How Do You Create a Playlist?1. Click the ‘Library’

tab.

2. Click ‘Create Playlist’.

3. (Optional) Click the Clear List pane button, ,if you need to clear the List pane.

4. Drag items from the Details pane to the List pane to add them to the new playlist.

5. Drag items up or down in the List pane to rearrange them.
