Note from the author:

The orange kitten on page nine looks so much like my own

cat that I had to give it his nickname: Milky Mew! When he

was just a kitten, one of five that had been abandoned in

our front yard, he would lap up the milk and say an

appreciative, “Mew! Mew! Mew!” Now that he’s a tamed

house cat, he still says thank you when he’s fed! The name

stuck!
