I. Thoughts about Worship

1. The need to worship God

God is worthy to be worshiped because of who HE is“I will call upon the LORD, who

is worthy to be praised” Ps. 18:3

He always has been

“Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” Ps. 90:2

All powerful - Gen. 17:1

Knows all things - 1 Jn. 3:20

Holy One – Rev. 4:8

Is love – 1 Jn. 4:8

Rich in mercy – Eph. 4:2

God is worthy of our WORSHIPBecause of Who HE is !

Job lost all ....“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away - blessed be the name of the Lord. I will I trust in Him”

3. Human worship is useless

*If God is self sufficient, then he does not need worship.
