Why might I be refused a SUN? • The Direct Debit Guarantee allows bank account holders to

reclaim Direct Debits paid in error. • Payers’ Banks tend not to verify that such claims are genuine. • There is no time limit applicable to the guarantee. • A bank account holder can reclaim one Direct Debit or an

entire sequence of Direct debits.
