Introduction

I will talk about EPALE’s positive and innovative effect on my carrier and itscontributions in my lifelong learning activities.

About me

My name is Hakan YANDIM. I’m from Turkey.

I started my teaching carrier in 2006.

Since 2010, I have been working as an Information Technology Teacher at Bilecik Bozüyük Public Education Center which is an adult educationinstitution of MoNE in Turkey.

First Experience with EPALE

We first met EPALE on 14-15 December 2017 with the help of the EPALE Information Meeting in Bilecik, which was held by EPALE NSS TR. Since then, we use EPALE actively both as an institution and as an individual.

EPALE Works

We have uploaded detailed information about our institution to the system.

We have uploaded our projects activities into the news/articles sectionwhich can be an example for adult education institutions in other countries.

Similarly, we have had the chance to learn about the projects carried out in other countries thanks to EPALE.

News and Article

EPALE is very useful for us to communicate with other adult education institutions. We, as an institution, share our projects that can inspire other institutions. In the same way, we follow what the otherinstitutions do.

Partner Search

Thanks to Partner Search, we are searching partners for the ERASMUS project that we will apply this year. EPALE is really effective in supporting us to find partners without spending too much time.

Resource-Blog

We can quickly access articles and study reports written in the field of adult education under one roof. I've been interested most recently in the Resource Centre. My own field of study is Information Technologies, so I upload and download resources about it..

Blog section is very important in terms of sharing or exchanging ouropinions and experinces on the field we are interested in.

on how to look more carefully at specific issues. If we, as an institution,

have ideas about the subject, we write comments or ask for more detail.

How do we promote EPALE?

We update the EPALE information board in

the teachers' room in our institution every

month within the framework of the

thematic focuses.

EPALE’s Benefits to My Career

I published a book called "Shortcut to computer learning". It attractedmore attention thanks to EPALE Trainers from other countries contacted with me about the book.

I published my lecture notes in different languages. In this way, I have transferred information to people in different countries.

Besides, I implemented a Project ‘ My mother is learning computer’ in Turkey, I made use of EPALE in finding partners and contructing thecontent of the Project.

Kind suggestions for EPALE

More space can be allocated to Multimedia content. For example, a video section can be created to provide more detailed information about projects. If we have videos of our own projects, we add the English subtitles to the news section. Seeing such videos in a separate section in a separate section can attract more attention of users.

Online discussions can be done in the form of voice and video chat with a moderator in the virtual classroom environment beside the written discussion.
