• 250,000 (NISRA)
• 5-10% severe form
• 1500-2000
• ? cause

• Similar to other long term disease (Rheumatoid arthritis, Diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease)
• 85% depressive symtoms (30% severe)
• €10,000 per woman year (2/3 reduced productivity)
