National Service Scheme (NSS)

• About National Service Scheme (NSS)

• The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of

Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

• It provides opportunity to the student & youth

• The sole aim of the NSS- DELIVERING COMMUNITY SERVICE.

• NSS 1969- the number of students 40,000 to over 3.8 million up

to the end of March 2018.

Enrolment rules

Limited enrolment- only 350 volunteers

Compulsory to participate in all the NSS activities.

You can be called on holidays (Sundays) in special case.

A student will be allowed to enroll in NSS maximum for 2 years to complete the required

hours/credits.

The decision of NSS committee will be final.

• Organized in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Salcete branch and GMC Goa.

• Activity organized as a part of community outreach program

• It also aimed to spread awareness and a sense of social responsibility among young citizens.

- To spread message & awareness on cleanliness NSS volunteers visited Village and offered shramadanby cleaning and repairing play ground at village panchayat.

• If you are genuinely interested in NSS then

only enroll. NSS volunteers must participate in

all the activities.

• A strict action will be taken against those

students who will not sincerely contribute in

NSS or found irregular in NSS.
