Automatic Glass Storage System
We have the latest automatic glass storage system that will automatic unload the
glass from the glass storage racks or a multi-compartment glass rack for supply to
glass cutting lines. Due to the varied nature of the business we carry an extensive
range of stock from all the major European manufacturers. With this automatic
unloading system, we would be able minimise the manpower, increase on our
productivity and more cost effective.

The PPG Certified Fabricator Program encompasses an elite collection of suppliers
who have committed themselves to meeting a specific set of standards established by
PPG. Members of the Certified Fabricator Program participate in a rigorous training
program on the processing of all the architectural glass products produced by PPG,
including high performance coated glasses such as the family of Solarban® Solar
Control Low-E Glasses.
DDG Glass is the first glass processor in Singapore to be authorize distributors for PPG

DDG TEMPERING FURNACE
DDG Tempering Furnace for Flat Glass With PREHEATING CHAMBER
DDG has equipped with the biggest furnace in Singapore and Malaysia with a super
jumbo dimension of 3210 x 8000mm. Its heating technique is particularly recommended
for latest generation Low-E glasses.
Better Optical Quality The roller surface is composed of hollow rollers in fused silica.
This structure, which enables to reduce the rollers’ weight and mass, offers two main
advantages:
1. A greater and more accurate straightness of the roller itself, with a clear positive impact
on the glass flatness.
2. A smaller quantity of heat accumulated by the hollow roller implies a lesser thermal
impact on the lower surface of the glass, thus reducing the convexity effect caused by
the heat transferred through conduction from the roller to the glass (this phenomenon is
very noticeable in furnaces with massive rollers).
Owing to this feature, the glass is less stressed and shows a better optical quality.
Tempered glass is heated to approximately 600 degrees Celsius and then rapidly cooled
(forced cooled) with jets of air creating surface or edge compression. This increases the
mechanical and thermal stresses of the glass. The fragments of tempered glass when
fractured are blunt small pieces compared to annealed glass reducing risk of injury.
DDG TEMPERED SAFETY GLASS
Advantages:• 4-5 Times stronger than normal anneal glass
• Classified as a safety glass
• Protection and reduce risk of serious injuries
• Increased impact resistance
• Higher level resistance to thermal stress and
mechanical stress

• Staircases, balconies or parapets

DDG HEAT SOAK FURNACE
Tempered glass face the risk of sudden breakage due to the expansion of nickel sulfide
inclusions (NiS) presented within float glass. A common practice is to avoid the use of
tempered glass whenever possible.
Why heat soak test ?
Due to the increase (NiS) breakage in tempered glass , heat soak test has become one of
the requirement for most of the commercial project and the cost for HST is about 20% of
the tempered glass cost. Some architects is limiting the use of tempered glass in
commercial building applications by specifying heat strengthened glass.
Heat Soak Test The process elevates the exposure temperature to about 280 Degrees Celsius (+/- 10
Degree) for a period of 2 hours or more.
An incident happened in January 2012. Atempered glass shattered from a building due tonickel sulfide inclusions and fortunately nobody ishurt.
DDG HEAT SOAK TEST
Why there is still (NiS) breakeage after HST?
• Not green, because of the high power consumption
• Additional cost for HST and also whatever that has broken during the process has to be
bear by the customer
• No certification for HST product and unhealthy price competition may cause some
processors to cheat
• Use low nickel content glass from reputable suppliers with good track record of NiS.
• Reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage by Nickel Sulphide
• Heat soak cannot totally eliminate the risk of Nis Breakage.
• Heat soaking process may actually cause stable stones to begin a phase of
transformation during HST
• May affect the Soft Low Emissive glass coating or other non Pyrolytic coatings.
• Adjacent glass panels would be damaged should a breakage occurred during heat
soak.
• No equipment to test or certified whether HST has been carried out.
Heat soak test not recommended
DDG HEAT STRENGTHEN GLASS
Heat-strengthened glass is twice as strong as annealed glass of the same
thickness, size and type. The process is similar to tempered glass, however the rate
of the cooling process is slower than tempered glass. In such a way, we obtain glass
categorized by its mechanical and thermal characteristics that is between float and
tempered glass.
During breakage, it splits into large sharp pieces similar to float glass. Therefore it is not
considered a safety glass and usually combined with a laminated safety glass to obtains
safety properties.
Advantages:• 2 times stronger than normal annealed glass
• Do not require heat soak, due to slower cooling process and no
risk nickel sulphide incision is negligible.
• Combine with laminated glass to obtain safety properties
• Increased impact resistance
• Increased resistance to thermal stress and mechanical stress
Applications:• Façades, ceilings, eaves, or windscreen
• Staircases, balconies or parapets
Maximum production dimension is 3210mm x 8000mm

DDG Laminated safety glass features a strong PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) interlayer bonded
between two or more glass combination. The process is done at high temperature and
under high pressure. The glass combination may be of equal or unequal thickness and
the PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) interlayer is available in many colors
Laminated glass is a durable, high-performance glazing product and is regarded as a
safety glass. Laminated glass is commonly used in:
• Interior Applications: Partitions, doors, windows, skylights, furniture, balustrades,
retail shelving, flooring
• Exterior Applications: Doors, windows, curtain walls, wall coverings, overhead
glazing, etc.

DDG LAMINANTED GLASS
Advantages
SafetyLaminated glass is versatile in both preventing injuries from broken glass and protecting the
building envelope. Its reduces the risk of injury from broken glass because the glass clings to
the interlayer upon impact. By holding the glass in place, the interlayer provides protection
from dangerous flying or falling glass fragments
Security
Laminated glass is referred as security glazing and are designed for protection from
burglary and forced-entry resistance, ballistic (bullet) protection and bomb blast
resistance. Storm: Providing hurricane force resistant technology to laminated glazing
systems.
Sound Reduction
Laminated glass proves an excellent barrier to noise and provides superior noise
reduction capabilities compared to ordinary glass,
UV Control
Filtering more than 99 percent of UV rays, controlling visible light radiation &
reducing heat build-up & thermal stress.
DDG INSULATED GLASS
DDG Insulated Glass unit is a high quality glass insulating solution. It comprises of
two or more panels of glass, separated by a desiccant-filled spacer and hermetically
sealed. A primary seal of butyl prevents moisture vapour leakages and serves as a
conductor against thermal transfer, while a secondary two component sealant
permanently bonds the insulating unit/Double glazing unit providing strength and
protection for installation and against stress and temperature fluctuation.
DDG offer a large combination of Insulating Glass using tinted glass, silk-screened
patterns, customized design using digital printing technology, Low-E and solar
reflective coatings to help you create unique designs and achieve specific
transmission levels and solar control options.

DDG ANTI-REFLECTIVE GLASS
Schott- Amiran – for a perfect view everywhere
Amiran is an optical interference anti-reflective glass that has been dip-coated on both
side. Thin Layers are applied to the glass, using the sol-gel coating technique. The
mainly metal oxdidic layers are hard, extremely scratch- resistant and offer high
chemical resistance. The coating reduces reflections to approximately 1% yet, at the
same time, increase the light transmittance to as high as 98%.
