Heavy Flavours & Quarkonia• Large production of heavy quarks at the

initial stage at LHC energies.• Heavy quarks are produced at shorter

time scales than QGP (~1/mQ).• Heavy Quarks coexist with QGP medium

during their full lifetime.• Ideal probe to characterize QGP at LHC

energies.• One of the main motivation for the LHC

upgrade HI program.

Work done in collaboration with HEPDATA : the high energy physics database (particle and nuclear physics)Hosted at Durham University since the 70’sFramework based on published data : 1 publication = 1 recordWork in collaboration with Mike Whalley at Durham University
