Watershed Delineation of Kolhapur District:-Open With ArcMap Version 9.3

Firstly Add Maharashtra Elevation Data Or DEM

This is the Maharashtra state DEM data

Add the Kolhapur District Shapefile

Red colour Highlight the Shapefile of Kolhapur District

Select the Kolhapur District Shapefile Using Selection Tool

Right on the selected Shapefile Selection Create layer from Selected feature

Image shows the New Selected Feature Of Kolhapur District

Extract The Selected Feature

Go to Spatial Analysis Tools Extraction Extract By MaskInput raster Maharashtra Elevation data

Input raster or Feature mask data Kolhapur Output Selection

Change the Extracted Region Elevation Value & See the Extract Region and Unchecked Maharashtra DEM

Start With The Hydrology

Using Spatial Analysis Tools Hydrology Fill

Fill Tool BoxInput Surface Raster Extract

Output Surface Raster Your Output Path

Remove the Maharashtra DEM You have seen Fill Output file.

Using Spatial Analysis Tools Hydrology Flow DirectionInput Surface Raster Fill _Extract File

Output Flow Direction Raster Your Output Path

You have seen the Output of Flow Direction

Using Spatial Analysis Tools Hydrology Flow AccumulationInput Surface Raster FlowDir_Fill1

Output Flow Direction Raster Your Output PathOutput Data Type Float

Create a Point Shapefile In ArcCatlogOpen ArcCatlog

Select The Folder

Right Click Your Input Folder New Shapefile

Name Point_ShapefileFeature Type Point

Click to Edit Click to Import option

Browse for Maharashtra DEM DataAnd Add

You have seen Georefrance the Shapefile Ok

You have got Georefrance the Shapefile

You have Seen Point Shapefile is create in Your Folder

Open ArcMapAdd Data Point Shapefile

You have seen Point Shapefile

Go to Editor Tool Click Editor Start Editing

Select Your Point Shapefile Ok

Go to Window Tool Magnifier

Take Point on Join streams

Go to Editor Tool Click Editor Save Edits Stop Editing

Go to Spatial Analysis Tool Hydrology Snap Pour PointInput raster or Feature Pour point data Point_ShapefilePour Point Field Id , Input accumulation raster

FlowAcc_Flow1Output Raster Output Path Ok

You have seen Output on screen in Magnifier tool box

Point has Snaps

Go to Spatial Analysis Tool Hydrology WatershedInput Flow direction raster FlowDir_Fill1

Input raster or Feature Pour point data SnapPeu_Point 1 Pour Point Field VALUE , Output Raster Output Path Ok
