WEEE Directive is the European Community

directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment which, together with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, became European Law in February 2003.

The set of WEEE Directive collection targets recycling and recover all the types of electrical goods with a rate of four kilogram per one person of population.

This symbol is created by the European Council to represent the wastes of electrical and electronic equipment. The black

line on the picture symbolizes that goods have been placed on market after 2005, when Directive came into the force.

Large and small household appliances IT and telecommunications equipment Consumer equipment Lighting equipment Electrical and electronic tools Toys, leisure and sports equipment Edictal devices monitoring and control

instruments Automatic dispensers.

This Directive applies to the following categories of electrical and

electronic equipment:

Union(EU) is taking measures of wastes to reduce the generation and to promote of recycling, reusing and any other ways to prevent the population growth of wastes from electronic equipment.

First of all from the implementation of the WEEE directive in United Kingdom, the waste of electronic and electrical equipment was predisposed of waste stream in the household.
