PAUL KELLY CUP

PSSA TENNIS

Paul Kelly Cup

Last week, our boys and girls participated in the Paul Kelly Cup Australian Football carnival. Although our students were met

with a cold and rainy day, it wasn’t going to stop them from getting out there and giving it a go! Both teams demonstrated a lot

of improved skills throughout the day, along with fantastic sportsmanship. Well done WWPS!

Mr Burgess

PSSA Tennis

On Thursday, the 9th of May, our PSSA Tennis Team competed

against South Wagga at the South Wagga tennis courts. All of

our team tried their very best and provided some tough compe-

tition for their rivals. Many of the games were very close with

scores reaching deuce. Charlotte Pidgeon, Anna Fagan, Cruz

Livermore and Jimmy Hutchings are to be commended for their

sportsmanship and perseverance throughout their matches.

Parent Tutor Program

Thank you to the wonderful parents who have offered to be part of our Parent Tutor Program

for 2019. Due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a delay in starting it this term.

I am currently contacting parents or other family members who have offered to be a part of

this important program to determine the best time and student allocation for each Tutor. I am

hoping the sessions will begin in the next few weeks.

It is not too late to register your interest. If you regularly arrive at school early to pick up your

child and would like to help a student with reading or drill work one or more afternoons per week, please contact me. This

program will run on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2.45 to 3.15.

Kind regards,

Belinda Cesnik

Breakfast Club

Our Wagga Wagga Public School Breakfast Club began last Thursday. Thank you very much to all of those who helped put it to-

gether. It was a successful morning and we look forward to continuing it every Thursday morning this term, from 8.50-9.10am,

in the school hall.

Mr Burgess
