Travel Photographs

Currently a London resident, born and raised in Brazil, and a traveler everywhere, Val Masferrer Oliveira is one of the most widely traveled people. I think she may not have been to Antarctica yet, but I expect that to change.

Val’s perspective is unique in my experience. Her camera may capture broad vistas but her photographer’s eye selects the detail that makes her images personal and exceptional. An excellent example is her Golden Buddha where she focuses on the glint of light on the Buddha’s cheek. Another is the delicacy of the formation of Desert Rose, not to mention the delicacy of color in The Third Eye, Kamakura, Japan.
