DoD/VA Data Mart Milestones and Objectives

Funded as a Joint Incentive Fund project (2005 and 2009) Implemented datamart access to AF and VA staff in 27

MTF Catchments where AF/VA in close proximity Expanded access to purchased care data to VAMC staff

located in Army and Navy MTF markets and conducted training (June-July 2011)

Will provide Army and Navy MTF staff access to AF type push reports for VA/DoD purchased care data (2012)

Will expand VA/DoD datamart to include data for VAMC/MTF direct care and staffing in Army/Navy MTF locations (2013) – AF already has access to this data

Will provide additional reporting capability on space availability at MTFs and VAMCs (2012-2013)

Provide information and analytical support for VA/DoD healthcare planning, medical sharing activities, to aid in the identification of potential opportunities

• VA server and data tables in Austin• AF server and data tables in Washington,

DC• Secure data transfer• Each group (VA/AF) creates separate SQL
