Prospective Preview Days and Diversity SummitThursday, November 15, 2012 and Friday, November 16, 2012
Wisconsin has long played a leading role in diversity efforts among business schools.
We are one of three founders of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management,
the country’s first equal-opportunity graduate fellowship program for under-represented
minorities. Each year, our program benefits from the contributions of consortium fellows
who choose the Wisconsin MBA.
Learn about admissions, curriculum, student services, career management offerings, and
more. Take a tour, talk to current students and alumni, and sign up for an individual

The return on your investment
Going back to school to pursue your MBA is a big decision for many reasons. A major consideration
is the out-of-pocket and opportunity costs involved. It’s important to give careful weight to return on
your investment.
A recent article in BusinessWeek looked at top MBA programs across the country and found most
charge “upwards of $80,000 for tuition alone. Add two years of forgone salary and the total costs can
be well north of $300,000.”
The Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is routinely recognized
as one of those “top” MBA programs. Yet, the approach to tuition taken by our public, land-grant
institution consistently places us at the top of many “best-buy” lists, including those in The Princeton
Review, Barron’s Best Buys in College Education, and the Fiske Guide to Colleges.
Wisconsin MBA tuition rates the 3rd lowest in the recent U.S news publication when compared to
the top 50 MBA programs. As a result, the average Wisconsin MBA graduate breaks even on his or
her MBA investment in 2 years.
And there’s more good news when it comes to earning your Wisconsin MBA. Neither of these
rankings takes into account the fact that more than 75% of Wisconsin MBA students receive merit-
based aid each year. The average merit-based aid package at Wisconsin consists of a project
assistantship, which provides free tuition, health insurance for the student and any dependents, and
a stipend of approximately $9,400 each year in exchange for working 13 hours each week within an
MBA department.
A top-quality MBA program, tuition that doesn’t break the bank, and an opportunity for substantial
financial aid. The Wisconsin MBA offers them all.
