Apps

There are many apps that can be added to enhance your profile:

- My Reading List (by Amazon)

- Events (AJ has discovered very interesting events through this app)

I also have:

Box.net (lets you upload files, and then share them as downloadables on your profile. I have my resume, but you can add work samples, articles, etc)

Slideshare (lets you share slides, and people can view them without having to download)

Self-promoting tip

Create a powerpoint about yourself and put it on slideshare and then share it on Linkedin

Who's viewed your profile?

This section has a link showing the people who've viewed your profile in the last 7 days.

AJ recommends going to this page weekly and sending a message to each person that viewed your profile.

The content can be something like "thanks for checking out my profile, how can I help you? Let's meet on the phone or in person"
