National Goal: 23 percent of all prime federal government contract dollars go to small business

Success: 25.75 percent or $91 billion in federal contracts went to small businesses during FY 2015.

• These contracts supported over 537,000 jobs.

• 5.05% or $18 billion to Women-Owned Small Businesses

• 3.93% or $14 billion to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses

• 10.06% or $35.4 billion to Small Disadvantaged Businesses

– $3.10 billion to Women Owned Businesses

– $1.23 billion to Veteran Owned Businesses

– $6.81 billion to Minority Owned Businesses

• Additionally, in FY2015 SBA’s 7(a) program provided:

– $1.25 billion to small business exporters

– $7.94 billion to new business start-ups
