Why I am a Soldier….
• Department of Defense mandates that 90% of our Soldiers graduate from a “traditional” brick and mortar high school
• Traditional public high school
• Job Corps
• 15 semester-22 quarter-675 clock hours
• Home schools students scoring 50 or higher on ASVAB
• In 2010 63.9% of enlistees scored a 50% or higher on the ASVAB
• 35.7% of enlistees scored between 31-49 on the ASVAB
• .5% of enlistees scored below 31 on the ASVAB
• Only 10% of our enlistees can be from Online high schools (ECOT or Digital Academies, GED, or accelerated “drop out” schools)
