UoK MIS USER MANUAL: STUDENTS

PART I: REGISTRATION

I.I EDITING AND CONFIRMING INFORMATION (UNDERGRADUATE

CONTINUING STUDENT)

1. Step one: Go to UoK website (www.uok.ac.rw) / click Online system/UoK MIS

2. Step two: Go to new student/ existing/ type down your regno/ and click on

view info.

3. Step three: Scroll down/ click on Edit and confirm button.

4. Step four; Edit signup information the click on ok button

5. Step five: Edit information related to “Names && Address” , click on save &

contitnue

6. Step six: Edit information related to “Residence place” , click on save & contitnue

7. Step Seven: Edit info about “Parent/Guardian/Sponsor”, click on save & contitnue

8. Step eight: Edit info about “Academic option”, click on save & contitnue

9. Step nine: Edit info about “National & immigration”, click on save & contitnue

10. Step ten: Edit info about “Secondary education”, click on save & contitnue

11. Step Eleven: Edit info about “Fees/Sponsorship”, click on save & contitnue

12. Step Twelve: Edit info about “Statement of purpose”, click on save & contitnue

13. Step Thirteen: Edit info about “References”, click on save & contitnue

14. Step Fourteen: Choose info about “Disability”, click on save & contitnue

15. Step fifteen: Choose info about “About university info”, click on save & contitnue

16. Step Sixteen: There is no documents required to upload but click on finish to submit

your application.

NB:

1. If you fail your application, please contact any lab Attendant or registration staff.

2. Remember your account (email and password), for the future use on the system.

3. All of the information and activities you will need to check them from the MIS.

I.II NEW APPLICATIONS (FRESH APPLICANTS OR TRANSFEREES)

1. Step one: Go to UoK website (www.uok.ac.rw) / click Online system/UoK MIS/ Live

2. Step two: Go to new student/ click on new and create your account (Signup), Please use

the active email in order to get notifications

3. Step two: By starting the application, select the program (Fresh applicant or transferee),

then click on start application.

4. Step four: Fill information related to “Names && Address” , click on save &

contitnue

5. Step five: Fill information related to “Residence place” , click on save & contitnue

6. Step six: Complete info about “Parent/Guardian/Sponsor”, click on save & contitnue

7. 1. Step seven: Choose info about “Academic option”, click on save & contitnue

7.2 Step seven: Previous leaning institution (This section cponcern only

Transferee students)

8. Step eight: Choose info about “National & immigration”, click on save & contitnue

9. Step nine: Choose info about “Secondary education”, click on save & contitnue

10. Step ten: Choose info about “Fees/Sponsorship”, click on save & contitnue

11. Step eleven: Choose info about “Statement of purpose”, click on save & contitnue

12. Step twelve: Choose info about “References”, click on save & contitnue

13. Step thirteen: Choose info about “Disability”, click on save & contitnue

14. Step fourteen: Choose info about “About university info”, click on save & contitnue

15. Step fifteen: Upload all required documents click on finish to submit your

application.

NB:

16. If you fail your application, please contact any lab Attendant or registration staff.

17. Remember your account (email and password), for the future use on the system.

PART II: MODULE REGISTRATION/REIREGISTRATION

1. Step one: Go to UoK website (www.uok.ac.rw) / click Online system/UoK MIS/ Live

MIS.

2. Step two: login as student using valid credentials (UoK email or student

regno).

3. Step three (Module registration) a: Click on course management/ module

registration.

4. Step three (Module registration) b: Click on progression registration tab

the find a list of modules proposed by HOD to your department.

NB:

1. If you click on “submit module registration” student will appear on the

attendance list of checked modules.

2. If you have debt in finance; module registration won’t happen until finance force

for you to make module registration before payment.

3. The confirmed modules will be in ongoing modules and you will be viewing;

attendance, assignments, timetable, exam, marks results, etc of these confirmed

modules following finance and attendance conditions.
