Understanding Fraction: Fraction Mats

I use these mats during guided math instruction. I simply slip the ones

I plan to use that day into heavyweight page protectors and students

use dry erase markers.

Example: I may want to work with students on understanding how 3/4

looks with a circle model in comparison to a square and rectangular

model. Yet I want them to see that even if the shape of each whole

is different, 3/4 is still represented.
