• Begun in 1997 with funding from the state

• Initially created for finding aids from KY Libraries

• Used OCLC Site Search as content management system

• In 2002 IMLS funded project to digitize 1000 books on Kentucky from microfilm

• Preselected material from SOLINET Cooperative Microfilm Project

• We have deep expertise in imaging, newspaper conversion, microfilm-to-digital conversion, and oral history

• We are a “can-do” operation • We like to help others gain skills in

these areas• We are currently working on projects

with “born digital” newspaper content and digital preservation
