To begin I drew up some illustrations and then picked which I think would work best cut out of felt. I then traced them in illustrator with the pen tool to prepare them for the laser cutter.
When choosing the colours of felt I had a limited amount of colours available to me in the shop but fortunately they work well together.

While researching I came to realise that I like cards that have more of a hand-made feel as they seem more sincere. I also think the use of fabric and sewing on a card creates a lovely feel.
