Registering with databases

WHY???? You use your Huddersfield ID to access electronic databases

BUT you can create a personal account on many databases to create alerts, store results, save searches, etc.

Log into Zetoc with your Huddersfield account

Set up alerts to any email address Easy to edit alerts or set up new

ones Emails sent every weekday

specialist libraries in the UK Includes Universities of Manchester and

Be aware of material that is likely to be reference

Some institutions do not participate in interlending (Oxford, Cambridge, some research libraries)

Access to the complete Document Delivery Service of the British Library

Loans of hard copy material Secure Electronic Delivery of journal articles Charges can be made to departmental fund Just fill in a form!

Books are typically loaned to us for three weeks

Renewals add another six weeks We can normally renew up to three times

University of Huddersfield are among the contributing institutions

Some institutions may request payment for digitisation requests

Huddersfield support open-access (so requests for digitisation do not incur a charge)

Downloads are in .pdf format (Adobe Reader is required) and may be compressed (software to un-zip files may be needed)
