Training Outline 2015 2
Introduction BuildIT Software & Solutions offers personalized trainings that take into account the learners’ needs on
the shop floor and their level of understanding of the software. This document lists all the components
that can be taught during trainings, giving the client a choice in the material covered. The outline is
divided to reflect the way typical 3-day trainings are conducted, but this is subject to change depending
on the level of the students and the quantity of material that is to be covered.
Workflows 1, 2 and 3 are hands-on tutorials that are essential to quickly learn how BuildIT works in
general. For more complex commands, they are covered many times, each time showing different
aspects. The numbers beside the topics (e.g. Inspect Geometry 2) indicate their complexity levels.
Further Exploration familiarizes the user to all the various commands that are available in BuildIT. This
additional basic information builds on the foundations of workflows 1, 2 and 3.
Extended Hands-on Sessions are advanced workflows. These optional modules are meant to be more
specific to clients’ needs.
Shop Floor sessions involve working with one of the client company’s parts to show the students how to
inspect using BuildIT for the kind of jobs they will encounter. This is where we strengthen connections
between what was learned and the work they will do on the shop floor.
