Minimum College Preparatory Courses

Electives may be chosen from the core areas (English, mathematics, natural science and social science), fine arts, computer science, foreign language and other academic areas.

UW-Eau Claire and UW-Madison require a minimum two years of a single foreign language for admission.

College Prep Electives

All UW System campuses require receipt of ACT or SAT scores prior to making an admit decision.

The ACT is preferred by most UW System campuses. All campuses will accept either ACT or SAT.

Recommend students take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year.

Minimum score guidelines vary at each campus.

Testing

UW-Madison requires written portion of the ACT.

UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison & UW-LaCrosse require official score report directly from ACT for admit decision.

UW-Oshkosh & UW-Platteville require official score report prior to advising/registration.
