Number 10   Convert Units

Great when converting measurements into any units. This function becomes very important if you are not great in Math.

By using Google search engine, type in the known unit and the unknown unit to find your answer.

Number 9     Definition

Able to access definitions quickly by typing in "definition: word" into the Google search engine. This saves time from viewing hard copy dictionaries and searching different websites.

See example listed below:

Number 8   Image Search

Great when looking for pictures to enhance presentations, art clips, field trip letters, etc.

Type in your word(s) in the Google image search engine, then select picture(s) by copying or saving them.

Number 7  Quick search anywhere

By using a cell phone, you will be able to search Google from anywhere. Inside of Google search engine, you will be able to find the information you are looking for at your finger tips. This function is great when you are unable to access your computer.

Number 6    Google Translate

This function allows you translate languages and will increase communication where there is a barrier. Google translate will save you time from locating a book or searching multiple websites for translations.

As an educator, you will be able to write parent letters, field trip papers, and other communication sources in other languages to improve your communication with parents who may speak a different language from your own.

Number 5  Waiting for Response Label

Great for teachers, students, and personal contacts. With this function, you are able to follow-up with the people you are waiting to hear back from. This function keeps you from forgetting to resend a message if you have not heard back from that person.

Example: A teacher sends out multiple e-mails to parents and/or students and creates a label to separate those awaiting a response.

Number 4   Blogger

As an educator, you can create your own blog as a communication tool with friends and family, group projects, discussions with students, and many more.

Number 3   Google Calendar

Google calendar makes it easy to keep all important events in one place. You will have the option to share the calendars with co-workers or students.

Multiple Calendars- Create separate calendars (school work, personal information, important due dates) that helps you organize your busy schedule.
