Cigarette smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S.

Teenagers are the fastest growing group of smokers.

Over 3,000 teens because a regular smoker each and everyday. That means that almost 1 million teens start smoking each year.

17 % of teens in the 9th grade start smoking.

It raised to 26% when teens reach 12th grade.

80 % of adults smokers started before the age of 18.

1/3 of individuals that start smoking as a teen will die from a smoke related cause.

2.6 million cigarettes packs are sold illegally to minors every day.

Over 4,000 chemically compounds in tobacco, and 401 are toxic and 43 cause cancer.

430,000 Americans die each year from tobacco.

Survey tells us that teens that smoke, quit or trying to quit smoking after 5 years.

1. When you use these you inhale less smoke, and are more likely to develop cancer of the lip, throat, and mouth. The reason why is because tar and chemicals are generated.

2. If you continue to smoke with these the chance of getting lung cancer will increase.

2. They are made with strong tobacco and spices that make the cigarettes taste and smell sweet. Ex: clove cigarettes

It is very dangerous to smoke while in your 2nd half of your pregnancy.

While breast feeding a baby can receive nicotine from the milk.

Yes, you will be moody, nervous, and have a hard time sleeping.

When you are trying to quit smoking there are nicotine substitutes. For example there is gum, patches for you to wear, and nasal spray.

Benefits: Sense of freedom, save your money, improve you cardiorespiratory endurance, and reduce your risk of having a stroke or heart disease.

Tips: set short-term goals for yourself, treat yourself with the money you are saving from buying cigarettes, and select a date that you are going to quit and stick to it.
