The brainchild of Mohamed Shawesh, the president and CEO of Shawish Jewelry, is made entirely of diamond, unlike traditional diamond rings that typically feature a diamond as the main attraction and a gold or platinum band supporting the diamond.

The Shawish team used lasers, as well as traditional cutting and polishing methods, to bring this whale of a diamond to life over the course of an entire year. It will likely sell for $70 million.
