Nursing and Allied Health – (NEW for TRI-C Students)

Proctor U Proctor U is a live online proctoring service that allows Tri-C students to take their

exams from the comfort of home. Proctor U is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To avoid any premium scheduling fees, students will need to schedule proctoring sessions at least 72 hours in advance. (not covered by Tri-C)

Online Students get their first two tests/ quizzes or one final exam.***Should additional Proctoring be needed, Additional costs are the responsibility of the student and are posted in Blackboard and K-Web.

Why Mobile?

Dr. Johnson has said he would like to see a 24% online student population at Tri-C.

As a college, Tri-C has made great strides in making our student catalog and website mobile friendly over the last several years.

While continuing to recommend to our online and blended student population accessing content through a desktop computer, the proliferation of mobile devices can no longer be ignored and Tri-C must catch up with other institutions and make online content more accessible to the student population as a whole.

If we do not start to “engineer student success into our online student content” we are knowingly acting as a barrier to our students.

WHY SO IMPORTANT?• An average of 8000 logins occur by Students or Faculty to Bb Learn

a DAY using a mobile device. (240,000 a month)

• Mondays have the most – (over 11,500)

• Average time spent on a mobile device accessing content is about 17 minutes per visit.

• Type of Mobile Devices (as of Jan 16, 2018)

• 82% of the mobile connections are using a iOS (Apple) device• 17% of the mobile connections are a Android device• 1% of the mobile is “other”

Bb Learn after the December Database Update…

• New Bb Learn Update went well• Bb Learn was back up and running on Dec 21, 2018 at 3:30pm (39.5 Hours)• Largest upgrade that has been done to the Bb Learn LMS since 2012• The upgrade is part of a two step interface upgrade• Second upgrade will happen after spring classes are over on May 16th at 4pm• Will more closely reflect the current Mobile Bb Learn Student App

Once we move to the 2016 Mobile upgrade after the spring semester has been completed, the look of Bb Learn will change. Here are some concepts as to what the new look and feel will look like.

Some options we have had in the past will not be available in the future as we move to a more streamlined and unified mobile friendly platform.
