THE HISTORY OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

The Ten commandments were a set of commandments given to mosses when he was

escaping from Egypt with all the slaves. The ten commandments can be found in Exodus 20 and

Deuteronomy 5. Mosses was sent up mount Sinai by God. When moses came down from mount

Sinai he had two stone tablets. The commandments were written on one tablet but

when moses got to the bottom of Mount Sinai he broke them in two and held one in each hand. The scripture reference for the ten commandments is

Exodus 20.
