The Sea a Bridge Between Countries
The English Channel, the Striates of Gibraltar and the Bosporus are all bodies of water that people have crossed in different ways over the years to make contact with the people on the other side.
Most people cross the channel in normal ways.
Some of the ways people cross the channel are a little bit different.
People also try to cross the Striates of Gibraltar in different ways.
We split into three different groups and found out about the permanent ways people can cross the Channel, the Bosporus and the Striates of Gibraltar. We all gave a little talk about our findings.Most people knew about the bridge over the Bosporus and the Channel Tunnel but it was interesting to hear that there had been plans for many years for a tunnel under or a bridge over the Striates of Gibraltar. Will have to wait and see if this ever happens.
