• Peace and conflict prevention/resolution

• Disease prevention and treatment

• Water and sanitation

• Maternal and child health

• Basic education and literacy

• Economic and community development

PREPARING FOR 2013

• Begin aligning activities with areas of focus

• Seek “mentor” pilot district

• Take advantage of training opportunities,

webinars, and resource materials

• Participate in training in 2012-13

Two Grant Types

• District grants are block grants made to

districts to support smaller projects locally and

internationally.

• Global grants support larger projects with

sustainable, high- impact outcomes in one of

the six areas of focus.

Eligibility for District GrantsNo dollar value restrictions

and no additional funding is available from TRF.

• Local Projects

• International Projects

• Vocational Training Teams

• Scholarships, any level, any program

• Disaster Relief

• Travel for planning and volunteers

Not available with Global Grants
