INTERREG 25° ANNIVERSARYEuropean Territorial Cooperation (ETC, including IPAand ENI components), better known asInterreg, is one of the two goals of cohesionpolicy 2014/2020 and provides a framework for theimplementation of joint actions and policyexchanges between national, regional and localactors from different Member and Non MemberStates.
The overarching objective of INTERREG is topromote a harmonious economic, social andterritorial development of the Union as awhole.
Interreg is built around three strands ofcooperation: cross-border (Interreg A),transnational (Interreg B) and interregional(Interreg C).

ADRIATIC IONIAN MACROREGIONAL STRATEGY (EUSAIR)
A macro-region includes communities and regions from differentcountries which have common or complementary assets, arefacing common challenges and have common objectives.
The EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) is amacro-regional strategy adopted by the European Commission andendorsed by the European Council in 2014.
The EUSAIR will promote economic growth and prosperity in theRegion by improving its attractiveness, competitiveness andconnectivity. It also aims at protecting the sea, coastal andinland environment and ecosystems.
The Strategy was developed by the Commission, together with theAdriatic-Ionian Region countries and stakeholders, according to acomplex governance model.
The Strategy aims at creating synergies and fostering coordinationamong all territories in the Adriatic-Ionian Region, supporting the EUpre –adhesion process of IPA Countries.
