The Multiples of One Thousand

The multiples of one thousand are formed simply by the counting numbers two, three, seven, etc. plus mil. Mil is
invariable when used for counting. (Remember, one thousand is just mil.)
Notice that a decimal point is used with large numbers instead of a comma as in English.

The Larger Numbers With one thousand and its multiples in combination with hundreds, we must spell and read the number starting with the number of thousands and then the number of hundreds, since there is no way in Spanish to say fourteen hundred, thirty-five hundred, etc.
