The Jamaica Information Service (JIS), an Executive Agency of the Government of Jamaica, invites tenders from suitably qualified providers for the provision of security services.

SCOPE OF WORK1. Armed and unarmed Security Officers2. Canine Service3. Supervision for Security Personnel on a 24-hr basis for premises located at • Head Office: 58a Half-Way Tree Road, Kingston 10 • Television Department: Caenwood Centre, 37 Arnold Road, Kingston 5Specific assignments will require the posting of Security Officers at predetermined strategic locations as well as patrol, who will have responsibility to monitor all activities on the premises identified above and make daily reports on these activities.

ELIGIBILITY OF CONTRACTORCompanies responding to the tenders should:

• Submit a valid National Contracts Commission (NCC) certificate in the grade and category of Private Security Services• Present a valid Tax Compliance Certificate• Submit Private Security Regulation Authority (PSRA) Certification for the company and Security Officers• Demonstrate competency and experience in the provision of similar services to industrial and commercial properties• Submit a security of 1.5% of the Tender Sum

Assignment Title: Engagement of Financial Advisory Servicesfor the Soapberry Wastewater Treatment Plant (SWTP)Reference No.: FCG/CON/038

The Government of Jamaica has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Foundations for Competitiveness and Growth Project (FCGP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The GoJ intends to apply a portion of resources obtained from the World Bank’s Foundations for Competitiveness and Growth Project to conduct a Transactions Advisory Services for the engagement of a private investor in the SWTC. The Soapberry Wastewater Treatment Plant (SWTP) is currently owned and operated by Central Wastewater Treatment Company (CWTC) which was established as a special purpose company for the construction and operation of the facility. NWC has a majority shareholding of CWTC and is desirous of reducing its shareholding in CWTC in order to achieve a twofold objective:

1. Liquidation of the NWC’s shares so the asset can be realised towards financing NWC’s strategic investment plan; and

2. It is anticipated that the restructuring of the ownership of the CWTC will enable the new owners to garner additional capital investment to expand the capacity of the Soapberry wastewater facility as per the projected incremental increase in demand.

The main objective of this assignment is to provide advisory support to the Government and the Enterprise Team throughout the transaction with the aim of successful completion of the share transfer process within the agreed time period. The Planning Institute of Jamaica now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Expressions of interest must be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by e-mail) by January 5, 2017 at 5:00 pm.

Scope: The Transport Authority invites bids from suitably qualified companies to supply Security Guard Services for a period of three (3) years. The contractor will be required to provide armed, unarmed and canine guard services for all Transport Authority locations.
